On Monday, May 8, Zorya beat Metallist 1925 (3:0) in a home match in the 25th round of the Ukrainian Championship. The Luhansk team did not leave a chance for the Edmar team.

Zorya confidently faced Metalist 1925 in the 25th round of the UPL.
Evgeny Shakhov opened the scoring in the 7th minute. After a discount from Igor Snurnitsyn, he hit the visitors’ goal from outside the penalty area. In the second half, Zorya finished off the opponent.
In the 48th minute of the meeting, Nazariy Rusin did an excellent job on the interception and he went one on one with the Metalist1925 goalkeeper.
Four minutes later, Eduardo Guerrero, after a dizzying combination, scored the third goal against Denis Sidorenko. Therefore, 3:0. Zorya maintains a five-point lead over Dynamo in the UPL bronze medal battle.
In addition, after Shakhtar’s mistake with Oleksandriya (1:1) in this round, the Luhansk team reduced the gap from first place to only five points. Additionally, Zorya will host Pitmen in the 28th round in Kyiv.
