Former Ukrainian national team and Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Oleksandr Aliev, who is currently serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has commented on the arrival of Yevgeny Seleznev for his farewell match. Aliev, together with Artem Milevsky, has arrived in Uzhgorod for the charity game in honor of Seleznev. The former Dynamo player hopes that the match will raise enough funds for the Ukrainian army. Seleznev played for Dnipro, Shakhtar, Arsenal (Kyiv), Akhisarspor, Bursaspor, Karabukspor, Minai, Kolos, Malaga, and Kuban during his career.

Aliyev also thanked his army chief for allowing him to leave the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Yesterday I took the train, went with Milevsky. I said: “Kent, I haven’t traveled by train for about 2 years.”
I am very grateful to my commander for allowing me to go to such a match. I’m always happy to respond. Any event where they raise money for our son – I will always come if there is such an opportunity.
The former Dynamo hopes that the game organized by Seleznev will be able to raise enough money for the Ukrainian army.
“Seleznev made a farewell match and raised funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ya Allah grant everything to be as he wants and dreams. To have a lot of money for our son,” Aliyev said in an interview with FootballHub.
The charity match at the Avangard stadium will take place on Tuesday, June 6, starting at 17:00.

It was previously known who would take part in the match in honor of Seleznev. It was reported that Sergei Rebrov and Andriy Shevchenko were invited to the event, but could not attend.
- Seleznev played for Dnipro, Shakhtar, Arsenal (Kyiv), Akhisarspor, Bursaspor, Karabukspor, Minai, Kolos, Malaga and Kuban during his career.
- As part of the national team, Evgeny played 57 matches in which he scored 11 goals.
- The 37-year-old striker became the champion of Ukraine, won the Ukrainian Cup and twice the Ukrainian Super Cup. In the 2008/2009 season he won the UEFA Cup. Throughout his Turkish career, he won the country’s Cup and Super Cup.
