Metallurg sports director Mikhail Metreveli was not satisfied with the work of the referee Dmitry Krivushkin in the fifth round match of the First League Champions Group of the Zaporozhye team with Polesye (0:1).
The only goal was scored in the 63rd minute by Polissya’s Denis Yanakov, and before that match referee Dmitry Krivushkin disallowed Metalurh’s goal, establishing a dubious offside position.
Mikhail Metreveli harshly criticized the judging team for this episode. Zaporozhye club officials connected this decision with the recent meeting of four First League clubs (Polesie, Obolon, LNZ and Karpaty) with the leadership of UAF and PFL.
“The referee steals points in favor of other teams and the interests of a narrow group of people at the top of Ukrainian football… Here are the results of the UAF meeting on May 4…
And the name of Dmitry Krivushkin is now clearly written in the list of members of the “honorary club of grim reapers” of the Ukrainian judiciary,” wrote Metreveli on Facebook.
Polissya rather immediately responded to the statement of Metallurg representatives.
“Mikhail Metreveli, Metallurg’s sports director, made several public statements in which he directly or indirectly called Polesie’s victory in the fifth round of the First “Championship” unfair. On the other hand, Polesie considered it necessary to respond to the manipulative statements of Metallurg’s representatives.”

The Zhytomyr club made a claim to the home side, which did not provide high-quality match broadcasts.
“Members of the Metallurgist, as hosts of the fight, have the opportunity to take care of appropriate broadcasts and provide positions for “offside cameras” and replays of high-quality episodes. But this was not done.
Metallurg also has the opportunity to maintain the presence of the VAR system at home matches. But that hasn’t been done either.”
Polissya’s statement also says that Metreveli’s statement is incorrect or misleading the fans and drawing the offside line from this angle is incorrect.
Currently, Polissya is leading in the First League of the “Champions” group, having earned 25 points. Metallurg finished fifth with 14 points.
