Girona head coach Michel has praised his team’s efforts despite losing 1-2 to Osasuna in the final game of the La Liga season. The result meant that Girona missed out on European qualification, finishing in 10th place in the league. Michel praised his players for their fight, despite being winless in their last five games. He also promised that Girona will add in the future and take another step forward in the next season. Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov, who scored three goals and made six assists in 19 appearances for Girona this season, was named the team’s best player in the match against Osasuna.
Girona head coach Michel spoke about his team’s performance after the away match with Osasuna (1:2) in the last round of the 38th round of the Spanish championship.
In the last round of La Liga season 2022/23, Girona, whose colors were defended by Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov, lost to Osasuna (1:2) and did not qualify for European competition.

The team’s head coach Michel summed up the results of the game and the entire campaign for the team.
“Congratulations Osasuna. The team has reached a worthy place in the European competition. We are a team that aspires to achieve this success and I am very proud of my players. The fans have recognized our work and we are happy that we are on the right track.”

Despite being winless in their last five games, Michel praised the players for their fight.
“We played against Sociedad (2:2), Villarreal (1:2) lost in the last minute, with Celta (1:1) we drew, against Betis (1:2) we were less aggressive, but we played our football in all match Two points out of a possible 15 doesn’t tell me anything.”
The expert said that Girona will not stop there and will add in the future.
