Ingulets head coach Sergey Kovalets has been sacked after the team’s defeat in the match against Veres in the Ukrainian Premier League. The loss led both teams to play in the play-offs for the right to stay in the league. The leadership of Ingulets was not happy with the team’s performance this season and decided to part ways with Kovalets. The club thanked him for his dedication and efforts and wished him success in his future coaching career. Acting head coach Vladislav Lupashko will now prepare the team for the play-offs with LNZ.
The defeat in the match of the 30th round of the Ukrainian Premier League between Ingulets and Veres (0:1) turned out to be fatal for the head coach of the team from Petrovo Sergey Kovalets.
Ingulets failed to score in the away match with Veres, which eventually sent both teams to play in the play-offs for the right to stay in the Premier League.

The results of the team’s performance this season were not liked by the leadership of Ingulets, who decided to say goodbye to Sergey Kovalets.
“Ingulets thanks Sergey Kovalets for cooperation. He took over the management of the team during a difficult period for the club. He had a historic win over Dynamo Kyiv and another win over old rivals Ingulet.
We thank him for his dedication, efforts and football experience, which he shared with us. We wish Sergey Ivanovich success in his future coaching career,” reads a message on the club’s social network.

- Kovalets led Ingulet in January this year. Previously, he worked in Oleksandriya, Lvov, Obolon, Zaporozhye Metallurg, the U-21 national team of Ukraine and Chernomorets.
