Sevydov praised the team’s attacking play but pointed out their defensive problems. He mentioned that although the offensive line looks good, the team struggles with one-on-one situations and securing their partners, resulting in enough chances for the opponents to score. Sevydov sees this as a dangerous trend. The Ukrainian U-21 team currently holds the second place in their group and will face France in the quarter-finals.

“Yes, the offensive line looks very good, but we also have big problems when playing defensively. We don’t always play one-on-one successfully, we don’t always have time to secure our partners and close the dangerous zone, in every goal game we have enough chances.”

An expert in the volatile blue-yellow game in defense sees a trend.
