Former Ukraine national team striker Yevhen Seleznev has opened up about his disappointing stint with Minai Transcarpathian during the summer of 2021. Speaking ahead of a charity match, Seleznev revealed that he did not find a common language with the head coach of the club, Vasily Kobin, as well as Igor Leonov and Vladimir Sharan. Although he did not specifically name the reason for his failure, Seleznev said that he felt there was something wrong and that he had a friendly relationship with the club’s President and Vice President. This season, Seleznev only played 7 minutes in a match against FC Lviv.

This season, the 37-year-old Selezneva spent only 7 minutes in the fight with FC Lviv (0:1).

The forward moved to Minaj in the summer of 2021 as a free agent. As part of the Transcarpathian team, Seleznev scored one goal and provided one assist in 17 fights.
The experienced striker is one of the top three scorers in the history of the Ukrainian championship (117 goals).
