French media outlet Footmercato has suggested that the war in Ukraine has affected Ruslan Malinovsky’s performances for Marseille in Ligue 1. The Ukrainian midfielder moved to the French side on loan in January with a mandatory purchase clause. However, he has struggled to adapt and has not been physically ready, according to reports. Journalists in France believe that Malinovsky needs more time to adapt and are hopeful that he will show his true potential next season. The 30-year-old has played 22 games for Marseille, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
