The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has prepared a protocol on the commission of administrative offenses by People’s Deputy Hryhoriy Surkis. This protocol is related to Surkis’s actions in a conflict of interest regarding the bill on the delimitation of sports competitions, which resulted in changes to the broadcasting rules for matches of the Ukrainian Premier League. NAPC met with Surkis to present the protocol for his signature, but he refused to sign it. The protocol will now be sent to the court for further consideration. The article highlights Surkis’s involvement in the bill to benefit his brother Igor, who is the president of Dynamo.
The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has drawn up a protocol on the commission of administrative offenses by People’s Deputy Hryhoriy Surkis.
We are talking about the actions of Hryhoriy Surkis in the context of a real conflict of interest when considering the bill on the delimitation of sports competitions, which led to changes in the rules for broadcasting matches of the Ukrainian Premier League, the press service of NAPC reports.
NAPC employees met Hryhoriy Surkis in the Verkhovna Rada building and suggested that he familiarize himself with the protocol and sign it. Surkis refused to sign the protocol, which was recorded by the NACP and will later send the protocol to the court for consideration on the merits.

NAPC found that Grigory Surkis participated in the consideration of the bill so that Dynamo, whose president is his brother Igor, will be able to control the rights to television broadcasts in cooperation with companies that are part of the 1 + 1 media group.

Previously, the Ukrainian Premier League organized a centralized display of all matches under an agreement concluded with Setanta Sports TV channel.
After the adoption of the bill, the functioning of the system of centralized implementation of media rights of the UPL club became impossible.
