Kharkov Metalist’s fate is in the hands of its president Alexander Yaroslavsky, according to journalist Igor Tsyganik. The team was relegated to the First League, and its future will be determined soon. If funds are found, the team will stay in the First League, and there will be a conversation with Yaroslavsky about the development of the club. However, Yaroslavsky is currently under investigation in Ukraine for beating a man to death in February 2022. Tsyganik believes that the club will survive, but he cannot guarantee it.

“I gave a big percentage that the team will stay, but now I can’t guarantee,” said the journalist in the Ciganic Live program.
In the last 30th round of the UPL season, the Kharkiv team lost to Chornomorets (0:3). At the end of the campaign, the team finished 15th.
