Ukrainian football legends Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko visited a lyceum in Chernihiv region that has been under Russian military occupation for 33 days. The Lyceum named after Mykhailo Kotsyubinsky is currently sheltering over 100 people, including 30 children, from the attacks of Putin’s invaders. The United24 Foundation, for which Shevchenko and Zinchenko are authorized representatives, reported the visit on their Twitter page. The lyceum was attacked on March 4, 2022, resulting in one death and significant damage to the building. Proceeds from a charity match in London featuring Shevchenko, Zinchenko, and Chelsea stars will be used to restore the lyceum.

Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, authorized representatives of the UNITED24 Foundation, visited the Lyceum named after Mykhailo Kotsyubinsky in Chernihiv region. The foundation’s Twitter page reported this.

Since February 27, 2022, the lyceum has been under Russian military occupation for 33 days. Currently, the educational institution has sheltered from the attacks of Putin’s invaders more than 100 people, of which about 30 are children.

On March 4, 2022, the lyceum was attacked, as a result of which one person was killed. The shelter survived, but 90% of the roof, physics, computer science and chemistry classrooms were destroyed.

Proceeds from the charity match with the participation of Shevchenko, Zinchenko and Chelsea stars, which will be held on August 5 in London, will be used to restore the Lyceum.
