Former Ukrainian footballer Yevhen Seleznev has received a video message from Andriy Shevchenko, in which the ex-Chelsea striker could not attend Seleznev’s farewell match. The match will take place on June 6 in Uzhgorod at the Avangard stadium and will be charitable. Seleznev announced that he had spoken to Shevchenko about attending his farewell match, but the Ukrainian football legend will leave the country during the time of the game. Today Seleznev published a video message from Shevchenko on his Instagram.
“Eugene, you have a bright, rich and emotional career. You resisted for a long time, but your time has come. I hope you spend this day in such a way that it remains in your memory for a lifetime, and raise as many funds as possible for the Ukrainian Armed Forces Glory to Ukraine,” said Shevchenko.

In the caption of the video, Seleznev was full of praise for the football legend.
“Andrei Nikolaevich was one of my teachers when I was in the national team. I looked up to Shevchenko and learned. I want to end my playing career playing on the same field with one of the greatest strikers in the world,” wrote Eugene.
