The famous Ukrainian journalist and commentator Viktor Vatsko talks about the prospects of the midfielder of Dynamo Kyiv and the national team of Ukraine Mykola Shaparenko.
According to Viktor Vatsko, Nikolay Shaparenko is a kind of modern midfielder who has speed, dynamics, good efficiency, but it is difficult for him to play in Grand Europe.
“Despite the style of football, Shaparenko is not for tiki-taki, although where we can be sure of this, I do not know. It seems that I am a footballer not for Manchester City and not for Barcelona, not for a team with high-speed ball control.

The journalist added that the leader of Dynamo fits the team that is fighting for a place in the Champions League in their championship.
“I think that for teams that are fighting for a place in the Champions League from the top 5 championships, maybe, except for England, Shaparenko will be a good sign. Bayer, Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, the same Inter. Many clubs can be named – Marseille, Roma, Atalanta,” Vacko said on his YouTube program.
Remember that Shaparenko missed most of the season due to a serious injury. Recently, the 24-year-old midfielder recovered and returned to the main group of Dynamo.
In the current campaign, the player managed to play nine matches for the white-blue, where he scored an assist. Shaparenko’s contract with the Kyiv club expires in September 2025. The cost of the midfielder is estimated at nine million euros.
