The decision to fire Croatian coach Igor Jovicevich from his position as head coach of Donetsk Shakhtar has left fans disappointed. The management of the club terminated Jovicevich’s contract ahead of schedule, which was supposed to be valid until June 2024. Fans expressed their anger and disappointment on Shakhtar’s social media platforms, criticizing the decision. Under Jovicevich’s leadership, Shakhtar became the champions of Ukraine for the 14th time in history and advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Europa League. The main candidate to replace Jovicevich is Dutch specialist Patrick van Leeuwen.
Donetsk Shakhtar fans are not happy with the decision of the Pitmen management to fire the Croatian specialist Igor Jovicevich from the position of head coach.
Igor Jovičević was officially fired as head coach of Shakhtar on Saturday, July 1.
The leadership of the Donetsk club decided to terminate the contract with the Croatian specialist ahead of schedule, which is valid until June 2024.
