Former Ukrainian football star, Evgeny Seleznev, celebrated his official retirement with a match that included representatives from three generations of Ukrainian football. The match saw football legends such as Srna, Rakitskiy, Dovbik, Yarmolenko, and Milevsky, among many others. The game ended in an 8:8 draw with Seleznev scoring five goals in total and converting a penalty after a decisive match for Orange (9:8). Seleznev dedicated the match to Ukrainian soldiers who fought for the country’s freedom and all funds raised will be donated to the Nezlamna Ukrainian Charitable Foundation for military needs.
The former striker of Donetsk Shakhtar, Dnipro and the national team of Ukraine Evgeny Seleznev organized a real celebration in conjunction with his official retirement.
Representatives of three football generations took part in the match: Srna, Rakitskiy, Dovbik, Aliyev, Yarmolenko, Milevsky, Shaparenko, Bushchan, Buyalskiy, Markevych and many other Ukrainian football stars.

Among the stars of show business in Uzhgorod are presenter Andrei Bednyakov and Studio Kvartal 95 actors Evgeny Koshevoy, Alexander Pikalov and Yuriy Koryavchenkov. There are also Ukrainian soldiers – Azovite David Kasatkin “Chemist”, international battalion commander “Titan” Igor Noman “Yankee”, fighter pilot Vadim Voroshilov “Karaya” and others.
In normal time, an 8:8 draw was recorded, after which the referee set a penalty shootout.

Seleznev dedicated his farewell match to Ukrainian soldiers who bravely fought for Ukraine’s freedom on the front lines. All funds raised from the game will be transferred to the Nezlamna Ukrainian Charitable Foundation for military needs.
- Seleznev played for Dnipro, Shakhtar, Arsenal (Kyiv), Akhisarspor, Bursaspor, Karabukspor, Minai, Kolos, Malaga and Kuban during his career.
- As part of the national team, Evgeny played 57 matches in which he scored 11 goals.
- The 37-year-old striker became the champion of Ukraine, won the Ukrainian Cup and twice the Ukrainian Super Cup. In the 2008/2009 season he won the UEFA Cup. Throughout his Turkish career, he won the country’s Cup and Super Cup.
