Spanish defender Sergio Ramos has announced his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season. Despite rumours of an extension to his current contract, the experienced footballer has decided to depart the club. Ramos’ contract runs until the end of June and he will play his final game for PSG on June 3rd against Clermont. The 37-year-old defender is yet to decide where he will continue his career, with clubs from Saudi Arabia reportedly interested in his services. Ramos has made 57 appearances for PSG in two seasons, scoring five goals and providing one assist.

Sergio Ramos’ contract runs until the end of June. Until recently, the media reported that the agreement with PSG would be extended for another season. However, this will not happen. The footballer announced his departure from the Paris club. On Saturday, June 3, he will play for them in the last round of Ligue 1 against Clermont.
PSG officially said goodbye to Ramos. The same statement was posted by the club on its website.
“We want to say a big thank you to Sergio Ramos. His leadership qualities, team spirit, professionalism and experience make him a true football legend. It is an honor for me to host him in Paris,” the club’s press service quoted PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi as saying.
