Spanish club Osasuna has qualified for the Conference League after a successful season in La Liga, but UEFA is currently investigating allegations of corruption against the club’s management during the 2013/14 season. The case involves allegations that the club’s officials paid Real Betis representatives to beat Valladolid and then lose to Osasuna, with payments of €400,000 and €200,000 respectively. UEFA’s decision could have a significant impact on Osasuna’s participation in the Conference League next season.

Spain’s Osasuna have qualified for the Conference League after a fantastic season in La Liga, but the Pamplona-based club are currently in the process of being censored by UEFA, which could cause problems.


Osasuna had a great season in the Spanish Championship. Finishing seventh in the table, the team qualified for the Conference League. Despite the possibility of action in Europe, the team from Pamplona may not be seen in this tournament next season.

UEFA has filed a case against the Spanish club. This is about allegations of corruption by the club’s management in the 2013/14 season.

According to La Vanguardia, the club is accused of two specific games. The management of Osasuna had to agree with the representative of Betis, so that they beat Valladolid, and then lost to the team from Pamplona. The team from Seville received 400,000 euros and 200,000 euros respectively.

The club published a statement on its official website, expressing hope for a positive consideration of this issue, and also believes in participating in European competitions.
