“I have to take a deep breath when I talk a lot and I need energy to focus,” Overmars admits.
The Dutch man also shared sad news about his heart.
“My heart is 45% dead. But you don’t have to feel sorry for me. I am a happy person, I just need to distribute my energy as best as possible.
Despite the health problems, the 50-year-old Overmars is not thinking about rest. Now he is the technical director of Antwerp Belgium.
Overmars is a Dutch football legend. He played 86 times for the national team and scored 17 goals. Twice with the Netherlands advanced to the semi-finals of the European Championship (2000, 2004).
