Fenerbahce is reportedly considering Dynamo Kyiv head coach, Mircea Lucescu, as a potential candidate to replace their current coach, Jorge Jesus. Jesus is expected to leave his position this summer, prompting the Turkish club to compile a list of three potential candidates. The first is Italian coach Vincenzo Montella, followed by 59-year-old Abdullah Avchi, and finally, Lucescu. Although his arrival at Fenerbahce is considered unlikely, the management of the Istanbul club is still considering the option. Lucescu’s contract with Dynamo runs until June 2024, and he is currently on sick leave, with Alexander Shovkovsky performing his duties.
