Romanian football club Farul has won its first national championship in its 103-year history, and now the team has its sights set on the 2023/24 European group stage. To achieve this goal, head coach Gheorghe Hadji plans to follow the Brazilian model used by Mircea Lucescu at Shakhtar Donetsk, by attracting players from outside Romania to strengthen the squad. Hadji has already contacted Lucescu for help with an agent who has experience working with the Brazilians. Lucescu, who won 22 trophies with Shakhtar, believes the Brazilian market is “inexhaustible” and “full of great talent.”
Farul Club for the first time in its 103 years of existence became the champion of Romania. The team led by legend Gheorghe Hadji has already started preparations for Champions League qualification.
Farul head coach Gheorghe Hadji wants to take the team to the next level. What is the meaning? The first step is the 2023/24 European group stage, and to get there, you need to strengthen the squad with players from outside Romania.
ProSport has learned the plan that Haji hopes to achieve this goal. On the one hand, the coach wants to follow the Brazilian way, following the example of Mircea Lucescu at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Instead, with the help of an agent, he tried to attract players from other countries to Constanta, instead of the previously mentioned South America, which would raise the level of the team to perform well in European competitions in the coming season.
Hadji’s goals are aimed at the competition group, be it Champions League, Europa League or Conference League.
“We want to take the Brazilians, we want to take them!” coach Farula told Orange Sport.
ProSport has learned that Hadji has already contacted Lucescu to ask for his help with an agent who has worked with Cikgu in the past. Hadji wants to bring South American footballers to Constanta on the same principle.

Lucescu stayed at Donetsk Shakhtar for 12 years, where he won many trophies and at the same time gave Western football many quality players.
“The Brazilian market is inexhaustible, it is full of great talent. We built the Donetsk game around them. Together with them we created the best team in Eastern Europe, we are the Brazilians of the continent,” said Lucescu 10 years ago in an interview with France Football.
The current coach of Dynamo Kyiv has many Brazilians in Ukraine. Many of them moved to other clubs to earn big money.
