On Monday, May 8, in the match of the 25th round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Lviv Rukh hosted Inhulets from Petrovo at their stadium. The meeting ended with a victory for the home team with a score of 3:0.

Rukh – Ingulets match review
- FC Rukh won their 10th home win in UPL.
- FC Rukh’s winless streak lasted nine matches: four draws and five defeats.
- The Ingulets’ goalless streak lasted 435 minutes.
- The Lviv team under Vitaly Ponomarev won for the first time in the eighth match: four draws and three defeats.
- Sergei Kovalets at the head of various clubs suffered his 50th defeat in the UPL.
The fight between Rukh and Ingulets is interesting not only for the event on the field itself, but also for the “fight” of club presidents Grigory Kozlovsky and Alexander Povoroznyuk, who have been in conflict in the information room for more than a month.
The recent head-to-head fight also ended in a scandal, after which the Lviv side was not satisfied with the referee of the match, and before the fight, Rukh asked to use the VAR system, but Ingulets ignored this request.
And before today’s match, the Lviv club left guests from Petrovo without a field for training and transportation.

In this match, the hosts opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Solomon finished the ball into the empty net after a rebound from the Ingulets goalkeeper.
However, such active continuity was not followed. The team finished the first half with an average pace, in fact, without creating anything dangerous at either goal.
The second half started with Rukh’s attack ending effectively. In the 47th minute, Klimchuk returned Solomon’s serve from the left wing in front of the goalkeeper and sent the ball into the far corner of the goal with a header.
Ingulets responded in the 65th minute, but Zaporozhets shot from an advantageous position in the middle of the goal, where goalkeeper Ruha Pankiv was. Three minutes later, Klimchuk shot near the post.
And in injury time, Klimchuk still managed to score, scoring two goals in this game. Thus, Rukh broke a nine-game losing streak and increased its chances of saving itself in the UPL – the Lviv team climbed into the relegation zone.
In the next round, the Lviv team will play away to Kryvbas (May 14), while Inhulets will face Shakhtar (May 13).
