Yevhen Konoplyanka, the experienced midfielder of Cracovia, has revealed that he almost decided to end his career when hostilities broke out in Ukraine due to Russia’s invasion. Konoplyanka said that he could not concentrate on football, and his head was spinning at that time. However, the whole of Poland and the atmosphere at Cracovia helped him survive during this difficult period. The winger’s contract with Cracovia expires on June 30, 2023, and he will become a free agent after that. Konoplyanka joined Cracovia from Shakhtar in February 2022 on a free and played 38 games, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Experienced midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka said that with the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, he almost decided to end his career.
Yevhen Konoplyanka said that when Russia invaded Ukraine, he could not concentrate on football.
“I just arrived in Poland, and then everything happened that shocked Ukraine. To be honest, at that time I thought about ending my career, I even told one person about it. I couldn’t concentrate on football at all. Head spinning. It was a difficult moment for me.”

The experienced winger added that the whole of Poland and the atmosphere in Cracovia helped him survive this period.
“The whole of Poland and the atmosphere around the club gave me great support. I try to give my best. I don’t mean the goals, but the dedication on the field. I’m happy after that I can focus on football. It is thanks to the atmosphere that surrounds me,” the edition of Fakt quotes Konoplyanka.
Remember that the winger’s contract with Cracovia expires on June 30, 2023 and after that he will receive free agent status.
