Former Dynamo head coach Oleksandr Khatskevich has commented on the performances of Mykhailo Mudryk and Viktor Tsyhankov after their transfers abroad. Tsyhankov, who moved from Dynamo to Girona in the winter transfer window, has yet to show his maximum potential according to Khatskevich. However, he believes that Tsyhankov has adapted well and has become one of the team leaders at Girona. On the other hand, Mudryk’s disappointing results at Chelsea should not discourage them from giving him time to develop. Khatskevich emphasizes that Mudryk is a young and talented player who needs time to adjust to the team’s philosophy.
Former Dynamo head coach Oleksandr Khatskevich commented on the performances abroad by Mykhailo Mudryk and Viktor Tsyhankov after their departure from Ukraine in the winter.
Ukrainian national team winger Viktor Tsygankov moved from Dynamo to Girona in the winter transfer window for five million euros plus 50% of the rights from the subsequent resale.
Alexander Khatskevich believes that in six months in Spain Tsygankov managed to adapt, but so far he has not shown his maximum.
“What he is showing now in Girona is not his maximum. He is a very smart and intellectual football player with a good command of languages. After six months, he was one of the team leaders. It can be seen that Girona goes to him, and he approaches Girona.
Also, the former Dynamo coach stated how Shakhtar managed to sell Mikhail Mudrik to Chelsea for 70+30 million euros.
“In one thing, I agree with Igor Mikhailovich Surkis, who said that there was never an offer on his desk or the fax did not work. There was a price. Mudrik was bought for 70 million plus bonuses. Miners wanted this amount, offers came and they sold them.”

Belarusian experts believe that due to Mudrik’s disappointing results, there is no need to give up on him in England. The end of last season for Chelsea as a whole was not the best way.
“What didn’t work for him in England is difficult for many footballers, not only for Ukrainians. Mudrik needs time, he is a young and talented man. There, the whole team is not doing well, and not just Misha.
Chelsea talked too much that they did not win five rounds, confusion with the coach. So far, the team’s philosophy is unclear. But Mudrik has everything in front of him,” said Khatskevich in an interview with the SportArena YouTube channel.
- Tsygankov played 19 games at Girona over half a season, scoring three goals and making six assists.
- Mikhail Mudrik entered the field 17 times in the same period at Chelsea and scored two assists.
- Khatskevich led Dynamo from 2017 to 2019.
