Girona winger and Ukrainian national team player Viktor Tsygankov thanked fans after his team’s loss to Osasuna in the 38th round of the Spanish championship. The defeat ended Girona’s ambitions to reach the qualification of the Conference League. Tsygankov addressed Girona fans on his Instagram page, saying, “We gave everything, but it was not enough to reach our goal. Unfortunately, this is how we ended the season. Regardless, I want to thank all the fans for the support and love you’ve shown us this season.” Girona finished tenth in La Liga with 49 points after 38 rounds.

Girona lost to Osasuna in the away match of the 38th round of the Spanish championship. The Catalan defeat with a draw by Athletic in the fight against Real (1: 1) ended the ambitions of Tsygankov’s team to reach the qualification of the Conference League.

Tsygankov on his Instagram page addressed Girona fans.

“We gave everything, but it was not enough to reach our goal. Unfortunately, this is how we ended the season. Regardless, I want to thank all the fans for the support and love you’ve shown us this season. See you again,” wrote Tsygankov.
