Famous journalist Artem Frankov has shared his opinion on the appointment of Sergei Rebrov as head coach of the Ukrainian national team, expressing his happiness over the news. Frankov praised Rebrov’s willingness to work fairly and his patriotic impulse, despite potentially sacrificing his career success as a club coach. He also noted that Rebrov has a strong coaching staff and that Ukraine still has a chance to make it to Euro 2024. Frankov ended by wishing Rebrov success, less politics, and more football, unity, and ideas. Rebrov signed a three-year contract with UAF and will lead Ukraine in friendly matches against Germany, North Macedonia, and Malta.

“I treated him well as a person and as a coach. First of all, what impressed me about him as a coach was his willingness to work fairly. Whether in Ferencváros, or in the national team, he will earn a lot of money.
Frankov emphasized what he saw as Rebrov’s main advantage.
“Why are we talking about him for two years? I think he just wants to work with his team. A good patriotic impulse. Maybe he is a little unprofessional, because successful club coaches are not attracted to the national team. Except, finally, in himself.

The reporter also noted a strong coaching staff.
“He has a good promising team. We have not lost the chance for Euro 2024. If we lose the first two positions, then there will be a chance to go through the Nations League playoffs.
Frankov wished Rebrov the best of luck.
“For now, I just wish Rebrov success, less politics, more football, unity in the coaching staff, ideas,” Frankov said in an episode of his author’s Telegram channel.
Recall that on Wednesday, May 7, Sergei Rebrov was appointed head coach of the Ukrainian national team and signed a three-year contract with UAF.
