Former mentor of Kyiv Dynamo and head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Mykola Pavlov, shares his opinion on the best coach of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) season 2023/24. According to Pavlov, Vladimir Sharan, who led Minai, is currently the best coach in the tournament. Pavlov praised Sharan’s ability to achieve results with any team he coaches and his talent in squeezing the maximum potential out of his players. Despite Minai finishing the season in tenth place, Pavlov noted that the team’s performance was impressive considering their previous standings.

Nikolai Pavlov admitted that he considers Vladimir Sharan, led by Minay, the best coach of the UPL season.
“The best coach in the tournament right now, you know who, in my opinion? Volodya Sharan. With the team he has, he squeezes the maximum.
Notice, no matter what team Sharan coaches, he achieves results everywhere, he does not fail anywhere.”

Pavlov noted that the coaching talent could not be shown in Zorya – the Luhansk team always took third place. But the club from Transcarpathia with Sharan managed to reach the maximum level.
“Here, Zarya, whoever you don’t place, will get third place. And Vladimir Sharan, no matter what club he came to, his results gave more than what was expected of him.
Minai was always under the last championship, always fighting to the end, but now he wasn’t. The team is quite high, for that, eighth place,” said Pavlov in a comment to Sportnews.
