Donetsk Shakhtar’s new signing Khusrav Toirov suffered a painful injury in a match for Pitmen’s youth team against FC Oleksandriya, which ended in a 1-0 win for the Orange-and-Black.
At the beginning of the fight Alexandria U-19 – Shakhtar U-19, the hosts were in the minority. In the fifth minute, Nazar Kayda rudely attacked Khusrav Toirov, for which he received a straight red card.
The Pitmen winger needed some time to recover, after which he resumed the match. Toirov was substituted at the end of the match, and after the match he posted a picture of the aftermath of the collision.
“I’m fine, guys. Thank you for the experience,” the Shakhtar player wrote on the social network.
The 18-year-old Toirov moved to Shakhtar on March 1, 2023 from the Atyrau club for 300 thousand euros. As part of the Pitmen, he played one game (eight minutes against FC Lviv, which ended in victory for the Donetsk team with a score of 1:0).
For Shakhtar’s youth team, the Tajik winger has played five games, but is yet to score a goal.
Toirov’s contract with the Donetsk club is valid until December 31, 2027. The Transfermarkt portal values the player at 300 thousand euros.
