Polish defender Tomasz Kedziera, who plays for Dynamo Kyiv, has ended his loan spell with PAOK in Greece. He joined the Greek club on loan in January and played ten times, scoring one goal. However, PAOK opted not to exercise their option to buy out the contract, meaning Kendziera will return to Dynamo. Speaking about his departure from PAOK, Kendziera said he found out from the internet, despite having spoken to the club’s sporting director a week earlier. Kendziera’s contract with Dynamo runs until 2024 and is estimated to be worth €3m ($3.5m).

Poland and Dynamo Kyiv defender Tomasz Kedziera spent the second half of the season on loan at PAOK in Greece. Now the players have to go back to Kyiv.


Tomasz Kedziora joined PAOK in January on loan until the end of the season. The Greek club will not exercise their option to buy out the contract, so the Polish defender will return to Dynamo.

A week ago, PAOK from Greece made a statement thanking the player for his cooperation and wishing him the best of luck in his future career. Kendzera knows this in amazing circumstances.

“Before the end of the season, I spoke to PAOK’s sporting director and received a slightly different message from him. I found out from the Internet that I will leave the club,” Sport.pl quoted the Polish player.

Kendzera also revealed why he left Dynamo for PAOK last winter.

“Behind one of the hardest seasons of my life. In the autumn we played without fans and the match was stopped when there was a threat of a rocket attack. That’s why I decided in the winter that I needed to change my environment so that I could only think about football.”

During six months in Greece, the Polish defender managed to enter the field ten times and scored one goal.

  • Kedzera’s contract with Dynamo lasts until the summer of 2024. The Transfermarkt portal estimates it at three million euros.
  • Kendzera moved to Dynamo in the summer of 2017 for one and a half million euros from Lech.
  • As part of the Kyiv club, he played 198 matches in which he scored seven goals and made 20 assists.
