Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Mikkel Duelund has extended his loan deal with Aarhus, where he has been playing since January. Aarhus took advantage of FIFA rules that allow legionnaires of Ukrainian clubs to unilaterally suspend their contracts, extending Duelund’s loan agreement until the summer of 2024. Duelund moved to Dynamo from Denmark’s Midtjylland in August 2018 and played 26 games for the Kiev side, scoring three goals and making one assist. From July 2021 to January 2023, he played on loan for Nijmegen in the Netherlands, after which he moved to Aarhus. Aarhus finished third in the Danish Championship and will play in the Conference League qualifiers.

Mikkel Duelund will continue to play for Aarhus next season. The press service of the Danish club officially announced the extension of the loan agreement with the Dynamo Kyiv midfielder until the summer of 2024.

According to the authoritative portal Transfermarkt, Duelund’s agreement with Dynamo is valid until June 30, 2023.
Mikkel comments on signing a new contract with Aarhus.
“Aarhus is my team and my city. I always have a plan that I should continue here. I got used to the line-up and the club very well. And even though I wasn’t able to play all the games in the spring, I think I contributed to our good season,” said Duelund in an interview with the Danish club’s press service.
- The 25-year-old Duelund moved to Dynamo from Denmark’s Midtjylland in August 2018 for four million euros and played 26 games for the Kiev side, scoring three goals and making one assist.
- From July 2021 to January 2023, Mikkel played on loan for Nijmegen in the Netherlands, after which he moved to Aarhus, where he played 12 games last season, scoring two goals and providing the same number of assists.
- Aarhu finished third in the Danish Championship and will play in the Conference League qualifiers.
