Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has confirmed that he has no plans to leave the club before the end of his contract, which is set to expire in June 2024. The experienced Romanian specialist took over Dynamo Kyiv in July 2020 and led the team to the league title in his first season. However, the club’s results declined significantly last season, leading to rumors of his resignation. Turkey’s Fenerbahce have shown interest in the coach, but Lucescu plans to complete his contract with the Kiev side. The 77-year-old Lucescu is currently on sick leave after undergoing surgery on his hip joint on May 1.

Mircea Lucescu took over Dynamo Kyiv in July 2020 and led the team to the league title in his first season.
However, last season the results of the White-Blues declined significantly, which led to rumors about the possible resignation of the experienced Romanian specialist. Dynamo finished fourth in the Ukrainian Premier League and failed to qualify from the Europa League group.
Turkey’s Fenerbahce have shown interest in Lucescu, who are looking for a new head coach to replace Portugal’s Jorge Jesus.

The Dynamo coach, who won league titles with Besiktas (2003) and Galatasaray (2002), said he was proud of the Istanbul club’s offer and considers Turkey his home, but plans to complete his contract with the Kiev side before it expires in June 2024. This was reported by SORX website.
