Botafogo head coach Luis Castro, who previously managed Shakhtar, has commented on the penalty kick of former Dynamo player Che Che in the Brazilian Cup 1/8 final second leg match against Atlético Paranaense. Botafogo lost to Atlético Paranaense 2-3 in the series after a 1-0 draw, with Che Che missing the vital penalty kick. Castro spoke about his team’s loss, saying that they are a family and that everyone tries to get up when someone falls. The 61-year-old Castro managed Shakhtar from 2019 to 2021 and led the team to the title in 2019/20, while Che Che played for Dynamo from 2018 to 2019.

Losing Portugal coach Luis Castro, who previously managed Shakhtar, commented on his men’s failure.

“We are a family – the Botafogo family. When someone falls, everyone tries to get up. This is what fans do today. The team came to the dressing room sad, but with a very strong spirit of unity. I just see football like that, I can’t see it without unity,” the UOL website quoted Castro as saying.
