Nikolay Nesenyuk, the head of Dynamo Kyiv’s media relations department, has suggested that Yevhen Konoplyanka may end up in Alexandria, where he will be picked up by the team’s coach Ruslan Rotan. Nesenyuk ironically explained why Rotan called Konoplyanka to the match against England in the Euro 2024 qualifier. The journalist urged Rotan to continue helping Konoplyanka by finding a job in Alexandria. Konoplyanka’s contract with Cracovia was supposed to run until June 30, 2023, but the player has left the Polish club. The Ukrainian winger moved to Cracovia from Shakhtar in February 2022 as a free agent.

“Rotan saw in him untapped potential and not only called him up to the national team, but also let him take the field in London at the end with no option to lose the match against England.
Perhaps Rotan remembered the forgotten autumn of 2012 when he himself played alongside Evgeny in London against England. Then the 23-year-old Konoplyanka scored a beautiful ball against the British and we tied 1:1.

The journalist did not stop there and urged Rotan to continue helping Konoplyanka by finding a job in Alexandria.
“For me, Ruslan Rotan, as a good person, was only obliged to invite Yevgeny Konoplyanka to Alexandria, which he led.
This is not difficult – in Cracovia, a Ukrainian recently thanked me politely and said that his services are no longer needed,” wrote Neseniuk on his Facebook page.
