Rebrov, who turned 49 on June 3, played for Kazan Rubin from 2008 to 2009 and has also led Dynamo Kiev, Ferencváros, and Al Ain to multiple titles during his coaching career. Andronov praised Rebrov’s dedication to football and his ability to achieve maximum results with his teams. He also revealed that Rebrov had received a serious offer to lead a top Russian club but turned it down to take on the challenging role of coaching his country’s national team.

Andronov recalled that Rebrov played for Kazan Rubin from 2008 to 2009.

Alexei also said that Sergei had an offer to lead one of Russia’s leading clubs.
“Now the media shyly remembers that you are the champion of Russia. With Ruby. I will say more. You got a very serious offer from a top Russian club. But he (who can’t be called he) is already walking. You didn’t come. And he did the right thing,” Andronov said.

The journalist noted that Rebrov always achieves the maximum goal with his team.

Andronov, who is a Borussia Dortmund fan, once dreamed of Rebrov leading the top German club. The team last season missed out on becoming German champions in the final round.

Aleksey wished Rebrov good luck in his new job and said that the Ukrainian specialist will be able to overcome all difficulties.
