West Ham defender Emerson Palmeri has made history by becoming the first player to win all three European competitions: the Champions League, the Europa League, and the Conference League. The 28-year-old Italian secured the record after West Ham beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the Conference League final. In 2019, Palmeri won the Europa League with Chelsea, and two years later, he claimed the Champions League with the Blues. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the 34-year-old midfielder from Armenia, who previously played for Shakhtar, has the chance to repeat Palmeri’s feat by winning the Champions League with Inter Milan on June 10.

On Wednesday, June 7, West Ham beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the Conference League final, creating a unique record for Hammers defender Emerson Palmeri.

The 28-year-old Italian became the first player to win three European Cup tournaments:

  • Champions League;
  • Europa League;
  • Conference League.

In 2019, a Chelsea player won Europa League. In the final, then Arsenal was defeated (3:1). Two years later, Emerson, also with the Blues, won Champions League, after defeating Manchester City (1:0) in the decider. And now he obeys Conference League.

It is worth noting that this feat can soon be repeated by Inter’s 34-year-old midfielder from Armenia, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who previously played for Shakhtar.

In 2017 he won with Manchester United Europa League, beating Ajax in the final (3:0). Last season, Mkhitaryan and Roma beat Feyenoord (1:0) in the decider Conference league.
