Yuri Maksimov, the famous coach of Ukraine and current sports director of Zhytomyr Polissya, may continue his coaching career in the third division of Ukraine. It is reported that Maksimov has agreed to lead FC Zvyagel with the task of reaching the First League and developing young talent in the region. It is not clear whether he will combine this position with his current role as sports director or leave his post at Polesie. Maksimov has previously led several other clubs in Ukraine, including Vorskla from 2019-2022.

The famous coach of Ukraine, Yuri Maksimov, who currently holds the position of sports director of Zhytomyr Polissya, can continue his career in the third division of Ukraine.


On May 27, at the match Polesie – LNZ (2:1), a conversation took place between the president of the Zhytomyr club Gennady Butkevich, the governor of the Zhytomyr region Vitaly Bunechko and Yuri Maksimov.

Maksimov, who recently joined Polesie as sporting director, appears to have agreed to lead FC Zvyagel from the city of the same name. The former Vorskla coach is tasked with reaching the First League and developing young talent in the region, FootballHub reports.

It is not yet known whether Maksimov plans to combine these positions, or whether he will leave the post of sports director without working in Polesie even for a month.

Zvyagel in this Second League season had a pretty good spring section and finished fifth.
