The Ukrainian Premier League season has come to a close, and FanDay.net has presented the results of the 2022/23 season in local football. All matches in the 30th round started at the same time, except for Shakhtar vs. Vorskla, which had a 20-minute delay due to air raids. The season ended with Shakhtar as the champions and Dnepr-1, Dawn, Dynamo, and Vorskla securing their places in European competitions. Meanwhile, Ingulets and Veres will play in the play-offs to retain residence in the UPL, while Metalist and Lviv were relegated to the First League. Police and Obolon, on the other hand, are the new arrivals for the 2023/24 season in the UPL.

Who will play in the European competition
Before the start of this round, our representatives in the group stage of the Champions League and the qualification of the Conference League were determined – Shakhtar and Dynamo played their matches without a chance to change positions.
But Zorya and Dnepr-1 fought for the silver medal and a place in the Champions League qualifiers until the last minute. As well as Vorskla with Alexandria for a place in the Best Club qualification. As a result, our club will play at the following levels in European competitions:
- miner (1st place UPL) – direct ticket to the Champions League group stage;
- Dnepr-1 (2nd place) – second qualifying round of the Champions League;
- Dawn (3rd place) – Europa League play-off round (Conference League group minimum);
- Dynamo (4th place) – third qualifying round of the Conference League;
- Vorskla (5th place) – second qualifying round of the Conference League.
Who will play in the play-offs
Seven clubs at once could end up in the play-offs at the end of this round, but Ingulets and Veres are the least fortunate (31 points each). In the play-offs to retain residence in the UPL, they will play on June 10 and 14 against the following teams:
- Ingulec – LNZ;
- Metallurgist – Veres.

Relegated to the First League
Even before the end of the tour, it became known that the Ukrainian Premier League was gone metal worker (22 points) and Lviv (13 points). Whether this team will play next season in the First League is still unknown.
Who went up to the Premier League
The new arrivals for the 2023/24 season in the UPL are: Police (32 points) and Obolon (29 points). It should be noted that for the Zhytomyr club this is the first entry into the Ukrainian football elite.
