Ukrainian midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka has been granted free agent status after Poland’s Cracovia decided not to renew his contract. Konoplyanka expressed his desire to continue playing for Cracovia, but the club’s president, Janusz Filipak, made the decision to end cooperation with the experienced player. Konoplyanka’s contract with Cracovia was set to expire on June 30, 2023, and he played a total of 38 games for the Polish team, scoring four goals and providing two assists. “I want to stay at the club, I really like all the coaches and players in the team. I spoke to the coach and they want me to renew my contract. But another decision was made by the head of the club, Janusz Filipak, I don’t know why. I didn’t talk to him.
Maybe the owner of the club expected a better result because I came as a star and that’s why he was disappointed.”
