Paulo Fonseca took charge of French side Lille in July last year. In the spring there were rumors that the former coach of Shakhtar might leave his post. Nice, Marseille and English West Ham were previously interested in the Portuguese specialist.

Ahead of the French championship final, where Lille will play away to Troyes, Fonseca said that he had already made up his mind about his future and would remain at the club.

“We will continue next season,” the RMC Sport website quoted Paulo as replying to a question about his possible departure from Lille.

We previously reported on Fonseca’s conflict with Lille President Olivier Letan, who was rumored to be interfering with the Portuguese mentor’s work.
