Girona head coach Michel has shared his expectations for the final game of the Spanish Championship against Osasuna, in which Viktor Tsygankov’s team could progress to European competition. The Ukrainian midfielder’s team must finish seventh in the La Liga table, ahead of Osasuna and Athletic, to progress to the Conference League qualifying playoffs. In the final round of the league, Girona will play Osasuna, and Athletic will meet Real Madrid. If Girona beat Osasuna and Athletic do not take three points in Madrid, Tsygankov’s team will progress. Michel has stated that “we just need a win to get around them.”
