Yuriy Klimchuk assured that he will wait for an opportunity in his national team. He spoke about this in an interview with the Ukrainian Football website.
“For the rest of my life, I would never consider playing for another national team. I am Ukrainian, and I will wait until the last moment for my chance in our team, I think it should be. So far, I have not had any contact with the coaching staff of the national team, but I will try, strive and prove to represent FC Rukh in the national team,” said Klimchuk.
Artem Dovbik, Vladislav Vanat and Nazariy Rusin, who replaced the injured Roman Yaremchuk, were called up to the Ukrainian national team for the next match as center forwards.
It should be noted that the appointment of Serhiy Rebrov as head coach of the Ukrainian national team should be officially announced in the near future.
