Ukrainian footballer Mykhailo Mudryk has thanked fans for their support throughout his debut season with Chelsea. The striker joined the Premier League team from Shakhtar Donetsk for €70m, and despite a dip in form in the second half of the season, has promised to come back stronger next year. Writing on social media, the 21-year-old said he appreciated those who “don’t turn away in the dark”, adding “bright times will come sooner or later”. Mudryk has made 17 appearances for Chelsea this season, gaining two assists. The team finished the season 12th in the table with 44 points from 38 games.

Mudryk, who started the 2022/23 campaign as Shakhtar’s front man, received an invitation from Chelsea after successful performances in European competition, allowing Shakhtar to earn €70+30 million from his move.

Despite the fact that the second half of the season turned out to be not so bright for Mudrik, Mikhail appreciates his audience, which worries him.

“I really appreciate your support and will always appreciate the people who don’t turn away in the dark, because when the bright times come, you will be the first person I say “thank you to,” Mudrik stressed.

Mudryk stated that the unsuccessful start at Chelsea did not affect his psychology, and in the new season he promised to come back stronger.

“With God’s help, everything will go well, I don’t worry about failure, because I never give up. And for those who never give up, bright times will come sooner or later,” the player wrote.
