Former Dynamo midfielder Oleksandr Aliev has criticised the team’s performance and expressed his disappointment with their current level. Aliev believes that Dynamo is not yet ready for European competition and is pessimistic about their chances in the upcoming season. In a comment to the FanDay YouTube channel, the expert said, “In this tournament, they look weak, and in Europe they have no relevance at all.” Dynamo finished fourth in the Ukrainian Professional Football League standings, making it to the third qualifying round of the Conference League. Aliev played for Dynamo’s first team from 2006 to 2010 and from 2011 to 2013, scoring 30 goals and making 28 assists in 134 matches.

Alexander Aliyev expressed dissatisfaction with Dynamo’s current level and said that he expects more from the team.

“I didn’t get any pleasure from the Dynamo matches I watched. Football players need to understand which club they play for, who played there before and what achievements he has. Yes, there are a lot of young men, but children’s football is over for them. They are adults.”
The expert is pessimistic about Dynamo’s chances in European competition next season.
“In this tournament, they look weak, and in Europe they have no relevance at all,” Aliyev said in a comment to the FanDay YouTube channel.
Remember that one round before the end of the season, Dynamo finished fourth in the UPL standings and went to the third qualifying round of the Conference League.
- Fourth place in the campaign was a repeat of the club’s anti-record in the 2013/14 season;
- Then the head coach of the team was Oleg Blokhin, but five rounds before the end of the championship he was fired. Serhiy Rebrov finished the season as acting head coach of Kiev;
- Aliyev played for Dynamo’s first team from 2006 to 2010, and also from 2011 to 2013. In total, he played 134 matches for the white and blue, where he scored 30 goals and made 28 assists. Today Aliyev serves in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
