The former agent of Donetsk Metalurh, Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure – Dmitry Selyuk – shared a strange story related to the head coach of the “city dweller” Josep Guardiola.
Dimitri Selyuk once claimed Josep Guardiola was cursed by an African shaman to prevent the coach from winning the Champions League.
The hype arose as Toure’s relationship with Guardiola soured during the Ivorian’s final season at the club in 2017/18.
But according to the Mirror, Seluk apologized and said that he and Toure just want Manchester City to succeed.
“I want to apologize for this matter. I think it’s time to end this bitterness – and I know Touré feels the same because he wants success for Manchester City.
I can say that the shaman has caught the eye and Manchester City will win the Champions League under Guardiola.”

However, Toure was quick to distance himself from what he said was meaningless comments on his Twitter.
“My former agent was quoted by the media about the curse. Please don’t associate me with nonsense and false stereotypes about African curses!
Media, please stop. This person does not represent me at all. Adding to these stereotypes is dangerous.”
Manchester City have never won the Champions League and it is no secret that Guardiola and his team desperately need this trophy.
In 2021, The Citizens reached the final of the tournament, but lost to Chelsea with a score of 0:1.
This season, Manchester City made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they will play Real Madrid (May 9 and 17).
During his playing career, Toure defended the colors
- Beverena,
- Donetsk Metallurgist,
- Olympiakos,
- Monaco,
- Barcelona,
- city of manchester,
- Qingdao Huanghai.
Now the 39-year-old Ivorian is working as a coach at Tottenham’s academy.
