The former legendary striker of Werder Bremen, Schalke and Metallurg Donetsk, Brazil Ailton returned to football at the age of 49 and saved his team from defeat.

Ailton, who now weighs 100 kilograms and is approaching his 50th birthday, has taken to the field again. The Brazilian managed to score a goal in one of the German amateur leagues.

The former Donetsk Metalurh striker played the entire game for Bassem III against arch-rivals Twistringen in a packed stadium and equalized (2:2) with a spot-kick. Ailton celebrated the goal in Cristiano Ronaldo style.
